Croatia’s beaches are attracting more and more holidaymakers. In 2017 there was a 12% increase in incoming tourism to Croatia compared to 2016, and experts expect the trend to continue in 2018.
About 17.5 million tourists visited Croatia in 2017.
These figures were not overlooked by investors, domestic and foreign, who invested in two sectors: retail and tourism.
Total investments in 2017 amounted to more than € 320 million divided into 22 retail and tourist properties.
In the hotel industry the focus is in hotels 4 stars and above.
The research firm Collier, which published the data, identifies an interesting phenomenon in Croatia, where owners and local investors prefer not to join the top brands of the hotel industry.
